Admission Policies
Admission requirements are designed to ensure that the students admitted to Alpha and Omega Bible College of Theology have the ability to successfully complete academic work, make full use of the educational opportunities available and show evidence of Christian commitment. In accordance with college policies and procedures for student enrollment and admissions each student is required to complete an online application before entry into college, No student will be turned down regardless of race, sex, national or ethnic origin or background or will be denied enrollment. The criteria for the online application package admission requirement is: (1) admission application, (2) academic records such as official (transcripts) from all post-secondary education (3) proof of high school diploma, or equivalency GED, (Official transcripts must be sent to the Admissions Office), (4) personal information, and (5) recommendation from your church leader, have your church leader send the letter of recommendation to the Administrative office, a brief testimony of your salvation experience along with a $25 non-refundable application fee. Also, the acceptance in the college is based on the confession of your faith and personal life and walk with Jesus Christ. The application then will be reviewed and accessed by the Admission Office /Administrative Team for decision of acceptance or non-acceptance. Then, after the review process is completed the student/ applicant will be notified by phone, email, and via mail of the decision. Procedure may be required in the form of a personal phone interview or online interview.
Application Procedure-Check List• All applications must be filled out completely before entry into the college.• All required documents and relevant information must be submitted with a non-refundable $25 application fee. • No student will be accepted into the college until all required documents have been completed. Please make sure all documents have been submitted to avoid any delays in admittance.• The College will assist in the student obtaining a GED if needed.
Enrollment Requirement/ Terms and Conditions for Applying for International Students• Standard Passport Photo• Birth Certificate• Pastoral Letter of Recommendation• Statement of FaithAccording to the United States Citizenship Immigration Services, Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/College of Theology may issue a SEVIS form 1-20 to a foreign applicant accepted for enrollment in a full course of study only after the following conditions are met: (1) the perspective student has submitted a written application to Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology, (2)the actual written application , (3) the students transcripts or other record of courses taken, (4) proof of financial resources for the student and other supporting documents have been received , reviewed, and evaluated , and (5) student’s qualifications meet all standards for admissions, (6) the Vice President has determined that the perspective student’s qualifications meet all standards for enrollment in a full course of study.Once Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology has issued the student an 1-20 Form (application for student visa) the following may take place: (1) the student can schedule an appointment at the local Embassy to apply for a visa , (2) An M-1 / F-1 student status may be granted to a student who seeks entry into the United States for the purpose of pursuing a full course study at Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology and is authorized to be enrolled in an M-1 / F-1 student, (3) When applying for an M-1 / F-1 visa (card) the student must prove to the U.S. consular officer that he/she has no intention of abandoning.
"Maintenance of States"
"A student admitted to the United States must meet certain obligations in order to maintain status: (1) the student must continue to carry a full course of study at Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology, (2) the student must not accept any unauthorized employment / must keep his/her passport valid, (3) the student must apply to the USCIS (United States Citizenship Immigration Services) for an extension of stay if he/she wishes to remain in the United States beyond the period of time for which he/she was admitted, (4) the student who wishes to transfer to another school must apply to the USCIS for approval prior to making the transfer, (5) the student who fails to maintain status is not eligible for a thirty-day grace period and may be removed from the United States,***The college is obliged to report the following to SEVIS within 21 days of their occurrence: (1) any student who has failed to maintain his/her status or complete his/her program (2) a change of the student’s dependent legal name (3) a change of their dependents United States address(4) any student that has graduated early prior to the program completion date listed on the SEVIS Form 1-20. (5) Any disciplinary action taken by Alpha Omega Bible Institute /College of Theology against the student as a result of the student being convicted of a crime".
"Veterans Students/Mobilization" "Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology is approved for training veterans under VA Education Programs and complies in full with all reporting requirements of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.Students receiving Veterans Benefits will be evaluated at the end of every month. If a student failed to meet standards (70%) attendance, 70% grade average) during that month, she/he will be placed on probation for the following month. At the end of the month of probation, if the student does not continue to meet standards (70%) attendance, 70% academic standards) she/he will be terminated. The College will inform Department of Veterans Affairs when students fail to come off academic probation after two consecutive months." "Transfer Applicants" "A transfer applicant is someone who has attended another college. Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended must be submitted. The applicants will be evaluated on previous course work at the college level. Failure to provide official transcripts for all previous college experience may result in applicant’s withdrawal from the program". "Transfer Students" "Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology welcomes transfer students desiring to pursue their educational goals in Christian studies and wish to transfer from another accredited or approved college. However, each course is individually evaluated before acceptance to ensure that it meets the requirements of similar offerings at the decision to accept or reject transfer of credits rest solely with Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology". "Transfer of Credits" "Applicants who have completed courses in an accredited college or university may transfer credit courses which apply or found to be equivalent requirements and/or applicable for meeting degree and program requirements at Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology. The Academic Dean shall evaluate all previous and applicable studies to determine what, if any, courses may be accepted for transfer into Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology. This evaluation will detail how course work completed at other colleges will transfer to Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/College of Theology. First, courses which meet specific requirements of the Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology degree the student expects to earn will be selected. Secondly, courses will be selected which may be used to complete the requirements for elective credit. The final decision about how much credit may be allowed for transfer is made by the Academic Dean, according to the policies of the College. Transfer of Credit to Other InstitutionsThe acceptance of transfer credits is at the determination and discretion of the receiving institution; therefore, Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology does not guarantee or implied in its credits will be accepted at any other institution. You should contact the educational institution that you may want to transfer credits to determine if such institutions will accept credits earned at Alpha and Omega Bible Institute/ College of Theology". " If a student leaves school for any reason and desire to return, the student must write a letter to the Admission Office requesting readmission. A student who is readmitted after an absence of at least one quarter/ semester must graduate fulfilling the requirements of the catalog that is in effect when he/she returns. The student must submit a non-refundable fee of $25.
